KCBS 740 AM: As news writer at KCBS, I wrote and posted stories on the station’s website, and occasionally wrote for air. I also trained new web writers. The station’s website won an Edward R. Murrow award for the year I worked there.

As a freelance writer I write content for companies like Pucci Foods and Eko Devices. I also write theater reviews for Theatrius and occasionally serve as a writing coach and editor to emerging creative writers. Writing samples available upon request.

San Jose State University: As composition lecturer at San Jose State University, I taught undergraduates the basics of college essay writing, as well as critical thinking and analytical reading.

Hayward and San Lorenzo Libraries: As facilitator for community writers’ groups at these libraries I act as a creative writing workshop leader. I also provide craft essays and examples of excellent writing, and occasionally host seminars.

Saint Mary's College of California: As teaching intern at St. Mary’s I co-taught composition courses and served as a tutor in the campus writing center. I also served as managing editor of MARY, the MFA program’s literary magazine.

As singer-songwriter and frontwoman of the folk band Hunters I have released five albums over the last decade: Eye of the Storm, White Lies, Treeline, We All Go Up the Mountain Alone Together, and Love Letters. While the band is on hiatus at the moment, I regularly perform solo at bars, cafes and farmer’s markets.
San Francisco Writers’ Grotto Fellow, 2013 (As part of a competitive process, I won a six-month fellowship at the Grotto, which I spent working on my memoir.)
First place in the Undo It Script Contest, Saint Mary’s College of California, 2009 (I adapted Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis into a 21st Century play, which was then produced and performed by professional actors.)
